colette hcs? :D
Colette, our favourite little collector! ✨️ She has a huge hoard of items in her home. These include merchandise, miscellaneous items from brawls, and special souvenirs that won't fit in her scrapbook. It may or may not pose a health hazard, but you'd be a fool to try to get her to throw away any of her prized possessions.
Speaking of her scrapbook, she has a whole lot of them 😭 though each seems similar on the outside, each are labelled on the inner cover according to the date. She makes sure every single one of her books is kept in perfect condition, as some contain items that she considers the most valuable things in the world.
Her flight patterns are quite interesting. Given that she has four wings, as well as additional limbs, she moves through the air in a sort of a swirling wyrm motion, but she can fly straight in short bursts (this is similar to her in-game Super.)
Her attacks consist of a pure magic shot that takes a percentage of an enemies health. The regular attacks come from energy that she shoots from her mouth, but alternate attacks can be thrown from her hands with enough energy buildup. (These attacks are the ones her gadgets do, giving different effects per shot. They are harder to control, though.) Her super utilises her magic to power her scrapbook-led super, allowing her to charge straight at brawlers with her unbound excitement.
She does still work at the giftshop with Griff and Edgar. Her extra limbs make her the ideal person to ask for help when grabbing things off the shelves and carrying items. She always presents herself as best she can and actually quite enjoys working there. (Apart from the stolen tips by Griff... she'd file a complaint, but she loves this place too much to complain at all.)
She adores talking to customers as well! She's always the one of the trio to be interacting and making sure visitors to the Park know just how amazing it is to be here. If you ask her about her favourite brawler, she'll probably start talking your head off, and you'll be there for an hour. (Frankly, it’s just hard to step back when you see someone so genuinely happy to be there. It hypes up the visitors as well :D)
Her horns are actually not natural. They're made from a gold-like material. She has a wide collection of horns, all based on different brawlers! The one she usually wears (in the art done of her a while ago) is her favourite set.
She's trained a flock of corvid birds (mostly magpies and ravens) to bring her little trinkets from around the park. Nobody knows how she did it... but they are concerned. Crow especially.

top 5 mbs characters, bc im predictable, and then top 5 persona ...ships? if you don't do a lot of shipping than characters works.
unfortunately i don't actually follow persona all of my knowledge of it is just me voting for whatever you say to in the various polls you reblog (i gotchu homie).
and then just for the sprinkles on top, top 5 favorite birds. they can be specific birds (ie steve the magpie, a local magpie in your area, or big bird) or bird breeds (parrots, a titmouse, lilac breasted roller, etc) up to you. 🎉
or only do one, or two, or all of these! no offense will be taken. im giving OPTIONS
aaaaa thank you!!! for the ask, for the options, and also for supporting my little blorbos in those silly polls 😭
Top 5 MBS Characters:
Kate Wetherall. I. Was. OBSESSED with Kate as a kid. I do prefer her in the books but I love her show incarnation as well!! The weird girl energy, the autism, the ADHD, it's all off the charts. Fav line from book Kate is still "Well of course it's not funny, but what do you want me to do? Cry?" List of sentences that changed my brain chemistry as a child.
Not to be a basic bitch, but Nicholas Benedict. Oh my god, I loved him in the books already -- we love to see a "wise, all-knowing mentor" character with actual personality and limitations -- but the direction the show took his character in was truly inspired. His discussion with Reynie about the white knight in the books is PEAK.
Reynie Muldoon. Understandably, since he's the POV character, he was the one I actually related to most as a kid. I love the "always trying to stay calm" thing he has going on, and how the narrative never punishes him for trying to be kind and genuine and earnest even though so many books and shows nowadays feel the need to equate niceness with naivete.
My funky little Milligan. Yet another character who I loved in the books already and adored seeing more of in the show. I especially love how much more autistic they made this man. "Geez, how 'bout a hello?" "........Hello." / "I'll be back." [vanishes] [reappears] ".......I'm back." King shit. And no matter what incarnation it is, his reunion with Kate will always reduce me to tears. The memory that was so deeply ingrained into his brain that even Curtain couldn't take it from him... was just that memory of his little girl asking him to go to the mill again... AUGH.... 😭
Constance Contraire. Like Kate, I prefer Book!Constance, but I adore the way the show portrayed her as well. First of all, she's hilarious. Second of all, while she's often being irrational, she also can be a voice of reason in some ways, and we love that. Funky little psychic child. And I just ADORE how kindly the book treats her. Even when she's getting on the other characters' nerves in a big way, the book never suggests that she's a detriment to them, that she needs to sit down and shut up, that they would be better off if they ditched her, or any number of other things that a less understanding narrative would be claiming.
Top 5 Persona Ships
Hamugis. Ohhh my god. MFW the overwhelming guilt I feel for having potentially ruined someone's life by sealing Death inside of her as a child slowly transforms into admiration as I meet her again and begin to see her as a strong leader and then love as I begin to discover my own humanity through her. MFW "I don't want you to love someone else... I don't want that, even if that's what would make you happy!!" MFW I touch my robot GF's literal heart and leave an indelible mark on her very being. Also uhh that one post. "I do not understand hookup culture!!! Die in my arms!!!" yeah. Aigis and Kotone for number one love story of all time.
Akimina. Much less canon interaction to go off of with these two but stay with me here. T4T autism4autism. I love Akihiko's earnestness and Minato's bluntness and how they combine to make a relationship that lacks miscommunication while also leaving a lot unsaid because neither is much one for conversation. I like the idea of Akihiko's intense desire to be strong to protect someone playing off of Minato's much more reserved, almost lackadaisical attitude, despite Minato's strength, and I think it would be so interesting to watch them move in opposite directions -- Akihiko learning to cut himself some slack and trust others rather than thinking he has to protect everyone alone, while Minato learns to break out of his shell and actually care about those around him and want to protect them -- while they also, at the same time, are learning almost identical lessons about relying on other people.
Ulamaya. The two girlies of all time. I adore how Ulala's combined jealousy and affection for Maya play off each other and how Ulala is one of the only characters in the game who feels like she's fully seeing Maya as she is -- a human like any other, even if she presents herself as eternally optimistic and strong so that others can lean on her. Their relationship feels so... equal. If that makes sense. Which, as much as I appreciate KatsuMaya, can feel a little lacking in other Maya ships imo, bc it always feels like other characters (ESPECIALLY the masked circle) tend to idolize Maya. And Maya's forgiveness of Ulala's betrayal... what's that one Hozier line... "I'd be the immediate forgiveness in Eurydice." Yeah.
Pegoryu. God I just love how ride-or-die Ryuji is right off the bat. You meet him, have a near-death experience with him, and ten minutes later he's shoveling more food onto your plate insisting that you need to eat more. Even before then, it may be Akira who saves Ryuji from Kamoshida, but it's Ryuji who tackles him away, yells at him to run and save himself, who gives Akira the faith in humanity that the rest of the world had eroded away at that point.
Tie between Saoriham and Kannao. Saori's social link is one of the best parts of Persona 3 straight up, and Kanji and Naoto are just so goddamn cute together.
Honorable mentions: TatsuJun ("I... have nothing to give you in return..."), YukiChie ("Yes, Chie is my prince..."), ShinjiMina ("If the burden of command gets to be too much, just let me know."), KatsuBao ("Idiot... What were you going to do if I pulled the trigger?" "I knew you wouldn't.")
Top 5 Favorite Birds
Orioles!!! I have such fond memories of helping my grandma skewer orange halves and fill jars with grape jelly as a kid to attract the orioles (though I thought they were called oreos for the longest time, lmao)
Robins. We get a ton of them around here and I love seeing them hop around on the sidewalk.
Magpies. Haven't seen one meself but they're such cool birds. If I could have wings I'd want them to be magpie-style.
Crows. Another bird we get a lot of around here, their calls are so Autumncore.
Falcons. They're just cool and I like them. (insert Madge joke here)

Please tell me about your DnD Sorcerer child, OP. I love hearing about people's dnd characters sm 😭 What's their name, what's their subclass, what color are their eyes?
Omfg
Okay okay okay
Thank you so much for actually asking! Warning, I've been peer-diagnosed by all of my friends in my dnd party (all of which are on the autism spectrum aside from my DM) to have autism so buckle in.
I have way too much fun talking about them and this campaign in general! (if you have any other questions after this too either about the campaign or my character, feel free to ask!!! ^.^)
First of all~
Their name is Ashton Reid!! The campaign setting we're in is like a modern-day sort of mutant/superhero situation and so when it comes to what powers the group has things can get a little interesting and honestly convoluted at times.
In game terms, Ash is a Clockwork-Soul Sorcerer with a mutation that gives them a power called "Probability Control"~ (Which is my DM's homebrew)
In easy terms, they're just very lucky~
Fun fact! The reason why they became a sorcerer in the first place was because the day their mutation manifested, their older brother (Artem, my beloved) took them out on a walk through the woods because they were having a really rough day.
It was their 13th birthday (they're almost 19 in the present day) and their parents (their dad is a politician...) had either forgotten or simply didn't care enough to pretend that they held any love for Ash to even say anything to them and when Artem asked if they were okay, Ash ended up snapping at him.
(I just reread the scene I wrote for that and oof...)
And so like I said they went for a walk and they came across this river, which lead to a series of small waterfalls which all lead down to this huge, beautiful crystal-clear lake.
That's when Ashton had this thought.
Just a wayward one. Nothing at all monumental.
"If magic were to exist, this is where I would find it."
Then, they felt something hit their foot, stopping it before it went down the small waterfall they were standing in the middle of.
Then when they looked down at it, it was a stone. A deep blue crystal.
Obviously, being the magpie they are, Ash picked it up only to find that it was warm to the touch and it seemed to be thrumming with energy or something. Like it was almost... alive...
They immediately showed it to Artem, who thought it was weird, but he also wasn't about to tell them to put the weird crystal back in the water after they seemed so excited about it.
From then on, the stone was never far from them. They'd hold onto it and roll it between their fingers, and study it; taking notes to see if anything ever changed about it through out the day.
Nothing ever did. It stayed exactly the same even after months, maintaining it's warmth. At some point, they even wrapped it in wire and turned it into a necklace which they only remove during showers.
The stone never changed.
But Ashton did.
A bit of background: Ash is Korean on their mother's side (their dad is your basic white politician) And they and Artem always showed more of their mother's features than Richard's. Which means, Dark brown hair, and dark, almond-shaped eyes.
Well, Ash had already been dyeing their hair different colors for a while now, always returning to a mixture of different blues.
But one day when they woke up and saw themself in the mirror, their hair wasn't the only thing that was blue.
Their eyes were now that same clear, sapphire blue as that of the stone around their neck.
They immediately ran to Artem.

Totally understandable ive been dealin with long work & other stuff so i feel ya. My energy levels have been all over the place. Ooh have fun in alicante! Right? Like hey im here sorry ive just been havin a time. Love discord. Hell yeah good times with good friends is always phenomenal news. Oh? Kudos for that there should be a badge for not having gulls try to steal your food. Australian magpies are notoriously asshole birds there's a whole chunk of time called swooping season where they get so vicious that mail people have to wear thick helmets to protect their head. Theres like. So much to learn in history & having adhd makes it hard so i have to pair it with like. A podcast or something to focus but it has grown on me recently too. Wish i could say the same of geography. Cool teachers are the lifeblood of learning i had so many cool science teachers. Thanks! Wolfie & kafka are my other goals of characters to get where i dont have them. Ive just been trying to catch up on the story & finally finished the luofu story. Building characters for me is just yeah this works i dont focus so hard on it anymore. No time for all that. I used arctic fox purple dye which allowed me to not have to bleach my hair so maybe thats an option? Im so ready for furina i have like. 335 wishes ready. I like team building in star rail its more. Relaxed than in genshin it feels like. Pela stays because her debuff is so helpful especially on the luofu. Bye pesky mara struck revival buff. May the courage to wear your choker in public come to you. I have & get compliments when i do. & may the future bring still easy exams for you
thankies ajskdglskjf as you can see it happened Again. ahhhh. school. AND THANK YOU IT WAS EXTREMELY FUN!!!! much better than my first trip there. got to eat SO much spanish food and omg i love all of it. not a single dish i disliked. plus i got to get my needed dose of the sea again! much more than my needed dose, in fact. we went to the beach EVERY EVENING. ive never been by the sea at night b4 and its such an awesome experience...... esp with the besties........... BUT AHEM. ANYWAY. YEAH DISCORD REALLY IS GREAT IN THAT WAY. and thank you o7 i also managed to avoid being robbed by them this time, despite the fact i was literally eating a salami sandwich next to an entire SWARM. every day i thank my luck for that. AND OH GOOD LORD????? HELMETS????? friendliest australian animal i guess 😭😭and ahhhhhh i feel you on that. luckily being diagnosed with the 'tism makes it so that teachers are obligated to let me draw during lessons so at least thats nice. and tbh with geography its funny cos like. i dont really Care about it but 1. its probs one of the easiest extensions and 2. i have an epic prof so i ended up liking it quite a lot as well. AND FOR REALLLLL tha AMOUNT of subjects ive never had a solid opinion on bc of how dependent it is on the teacher. for example my current teacher somehow managed to make me like PE. which feels illegal and yet. anyway, moving on! GOOD LUCK ON GETTING THEMMMMM wolfie has never left my team since i got her. shes op. the luofu story was so good................ tbh i dont rlly know what going on in hsr rn since i for real havent logged in since the release of luofu's last act and am not really planning to but Oh Well. i treat building chars the same way tbh [other than in honkai where i Do actually try to get good gear], i usually dont bother doing anything with my chars if im not outright struggling. not worth my time. AND AHHHHH THATS SO EPIC....... im still hovering around 175 since i havent really played recently but ahhhhh im hyped. and yeah i agree, i feel like its. Easier. to get a good team in hsr than in genshin, not to mention building it. since in genshin a lot of teams are dependent on 5* like raiden for example. who i Do Not Have, by the way. maybe one day. yeah pela IS great omg. AND THANKIES!!!! THE MOMENT I GET EVEN MARGINALLY MORE CONFIDENT ITS OVER FOR EVERYONE. and, once again thx o7!! i managed to get 100% on a chemistry short test so im gonna treat that as a good sign
#also ive been OBSESSED with ''im in love with the villainess'' recently. god. such a good series#asks#pen pals

FROM CONDOMS TO CATBOYS?????? IMPLYING I WANNA BE A LITTLE MEOW MEOW????????
#HOWLING over this ad HELP 😭#not art#okay I'm heading home now I'll be able to do stuff again :)#do stuff as in: think about doing the thing I'll do later because I can't immediately get to it#so instead I'm substituting the now with thinking about documenting the behaviors of the beasts in 9#complete with real life counterparts of animal behaviors#i.e. seamstress/centipede (maybe millipede/velvet worm too if I can find enough)#winged beast......gives me magpie energy because of wing coloration alone which is VERY funny because magpies are hellspawns

@sharkpupsblog buckle up!!!
anne = i have to admit this choice was influenced by the croaking webtoon which has a character similar to anne in personality (uptight, put-together, commanding) who is an albatross. but besides that, i found the distance of this bird's flight without rest..... an interesting comparison. (years without touching land, sleeping in the air, touching down only briefly on water.) wandering albatrosses have the largest wingspan of any living bird which could match her horse being the only one other than mc's to have wings in normal canon. it's a superstition among sailors that killing an albatross brings bad luck, another superstition being that they're supernatural because they can fly for so long without even flapping. ALSO SOME ALBATROSSES ARE SAPPHIC. (i'm gonna stop before this whole post becomes me infodumping about albatrosses heh)
lisa = out of all sparrows that live in texas year-round (as in they don't migrate out of the state) rufus-crowned sparrows have the most intricate song, as well as beautiful subtle speckling on their wings that could reflect lisa's birthmark. i focused on sparrows because they're one of the smallest and most common songbirds :) also vibes (i was going to make lisa a dove which was really tempting... it came down to a spinning wheel in the end 🥲)
alex = i would've liked a bird associated with storms, but other than fictional birds the only one i could find is an australian 'storm bird' that lands before rain. so, woodpeckers seemed more appropriate in their attributes such as tenacity! as well as their physicality (not many birds attack trees literally head-on). also, fun fact, tongues of woodpeckers are one of the longest in the bird world as they wrap around the bird's skull to cushion it against hammering!
linda = owls seemed an obvious choice, but i choose the little owl specifically because they're the sacred animal of the greek goddess athena, and so the cause of owls being associated with wisdom. also, she smol :)
maya = puffins are hard little workers! living on cliffs and being preyed on by bigger birds like gulls can't be an easy life. but they survive regardless! they have quite close-knit connections among flocks, and are adaptable enough to spend time diving for fish then return to the air. the atlantic puffin's orange beak matches maya's hair :) (that's not my only reason i swear lmao; they're most regional to areas similar to jorvik. which is probably the second and last instance i've factored in location)
evergray = red knots are associated with spirituality in quite a few different cultures/mythologies. they also symbolise long journeys and adventure
ydris = magpies are nasty bastards that steal shiny things. tell me that's not ydris
avalon = honestly he seems like the type of guy to bury his head in the ground 😭 i suppose i also view him as quite tall and lanky so vibes-wise it felt like a no-brainer to me lmao
justin = look at this man and tell me he doesn't have the energy of the kind of idiot that would hang out in a crocodile's mouth
big bonny = another owl would be sensible, but i have to be honest: there are so many to choose from. i couldn't make up my mind ':) meanwhile blue jays are actually very intelligent birds that also capture bonny's intensity!
elizabeth: fun fact, robins are regarded as the most mothering birds of the bird world! also, in england (i don't know about other countries) there's a myth that each garden has one robin, and its death brings bad luck. no other robin will visit that garden afterwards
pi = ravens are symbols of death, deceit and destruction. does that not sum up pi? (even if i think they're just cool birds and don't deserve that bad rep 😭 i can't ignore connotations)

Tag Game!
Thanks @imtryingmybeskar and @heythere-mel for the tags! (Mel I admire you from afar bby, I was like, did they mean to tag lil old me?!).
Rules: Tag 10 people you want to get to know better. Relationship status: Single for almost a decade now, settling into the idea of probably many more decades to come um does my thirsty lengthy screaming at all the smut and romance and feels here make more sense now 😆.
Favorite color: Red! I love the warmth and energy of all shades of red, especially paired with gold. Red makes me happeee! ❤️
Favorite food: Cheese. In mourning now that I've gone dairy and gluten free for health reasons. 😭
Song stuck in my head: "Hotel Mona Lisa" by Celer + Forest Management (I am an ambient repeated-chord whore).
Last thing I googled: "Pedro Pascal exclusive" in Google images search. Soooo my mom finally learned about how much I luff this man and his work but watched two random videos of him and tells me "his nose is too big." (excuse me??????? hello gorgeous aquiline profile!) I have made it my mission to flood her with copious curated pics and videos to bring her to the dark side…😈.
Time: 6:45pm Mountain Daylight Time!
Dream trip: Remote British Columbia, Canada. Before the pandemic I took a solo trip to BC every year from 2016 onward and it's my favorite place on earth…I miss it so much! Utah/Colorado mountains are pretty epic, but NOTHING compared to BC! My dream would be to visit the more remote areas, the deep backcountry, fjords, Haida Gwaii, remote First Nations museums…but on two conditions!!! That I be granted a magical spell to go hiking by myself with no risk of bears or cougars making a tasty meal out of me 🐻, aaaaaand that mother nature refrains from dropping the catastrophic earthquake that is due to hit the PNW at any time. 🌊 I also really want to visit the Maritime provinces, Cape St. Mary's…basically I think Canada is hugely underrated!
Something I want: To learn everrrrrything there is to know about the cognitive science of human anomalous experiences and magico-religious beliefs in the supernatural, the superempirical, the mystical…I'm a fkn nerd. As a substitute, I would happily take @imtryingmybeskar's answer 😎.
No pressure tags (I think most have already been tagged, but shall tag anyways just for fun and I am a fan of yer presence/content here okthxbye): @skyshipper, @magpie-to-the-morning, @galactic-basic, @iamskyereads, @blueeyesatnight, @doin-stuff, @pedropascalsx, @fuckyeahdindjarin, @whataperfectwasteoftime.
^^me pondering my answers and who to tag

Sooooo... right back at you: what animal do you think Nim would be? And your Lucien? If you want you can do your OCs too if you're willing to share that already ^_^
Omg this was so hard!!! I'm on a very long work trip and have been trying to summon the brain power to think creatively and finally have a chance to breathe. Also, I took an online quiz and talked with @dumpsterhipster to get some of the thoughts going for Nim. This is what I decided in the end:
Nim would be a Butcherbird! It's a songbird related to australian magpies. They're mostly insect eaters but will also impale their prey on thorns and poky sticks, like shrikes :) Originally I thought she could be some sort of corvid or a dolphin because she is highly intelligent and possess a capacity for cruelty yet doesn't always see her actions as cruel. For most of her life she's kinda been unaware of how gruesome her actions are and it outwardly manifests as nonchalance toward death and tragedy (prior to joining the DB at least). She’s just become habituated to it and floats around doing her own thing as best as she can (and is covered in blood half the time while doing it 🤷♀️).
Lucien would be some sort of feline, even a house cat honestly, but something fiercely independent and largely solitary. It really depends on the cat, but my cat walks around with an air of aloofness, and always thinks he is above me even while he is eating bugs in the backyard, and it gives me distinctly Lucien a la Fort Farragut energy. Many cats act like they don’t care about you but will whack you in the face for attention without batting an eye. Also I think, like cats, he often finds his freedom and self-indulgence far too compelling to ignore, and he’s lucky he’s clever and slick and has a strong grip otherwise he’d be falling off all the furniture.
Thanks for the ask!!! Sorry it took me so long to reply too 😭
